Applying autonomous drone technology in Warehouse or Distribution Centre operations can reduce the cost of expensive inventory control processes, like cycle counting.
It can also reduce or eliminate disruptions and wasted time spent searching for misplaced pallets. It could also be made to perform physical stock count. It does all this operating in the background without business disruption – and it doesn’t even need you to leave the lights on!

A main benefit when applying autonomous drone technology to optimise the fulfilment process is that its software, and not manually, tasked and directed. The obvious way to operate a drone might be to hire an experienced ‘pilot’ but this would be costly and would require them following a set of manual instructions. And why would you bother to hire a pilot when your current staff could continue to do the job manually anyway?
