The Americold (ex-Castlecool and AGRO Merchants) Castleblaney and Lough Egish sites are optimised with ProWMS Warehouse Management Software. The 180,000 square feet Lough Egish facility, with 21,000 pallet locations, makes this the largest warehouse in the group in Ireland. The facility has 8 segregated chambers and caters for chilled, ambient and frozen products. The cold store also has five blast freezers and can freeze up to 150 tonnes per cycle. ProWMS was chosen for a fully integrated, real-time Warehouse Management System at AGRO Merchants’ (Americold Whitchurch) Grocontinental site. In addition to enhanced functionality, this enabled the integration of unique customer processes and business rules requirements so that each step, or process, was guided. A web-based ordering system for DHL Supply Chain customer BP for its petrol forecourt network. Technology is based on ProWMS, and simplifies stock ordering and storage, supporting the despatch of thousands of cases daily from its distribution centre. Dale Farm, part of the United Dairy Farmers Group, operates five large dairy product manufacturing sites in the UK & Ireland and operates in 45 countries. It needed in improve picking rates and traceability via hand-held terminals in its central distribution centre. Wm. Morrison plc serves 9m UK customers weekly in 497 stores and via its its online delivery service. Due to high pre-Christmas volume in its 105,000 sq.ft Winsford, Cheshire meat processing plant, and at short notice, it needed to set-up an alternative chilled warehouse operation.
